Hong Seng Guan emerged as a simple bicycle store at the Tiong Bahru district in the early 1950s. Starting off with nothing more than a will to make a living and his own determination, Goh Ghee Guan, founder of Hong Seng Guan, forged a tiny fledging business and turned it into the stable structure it is today. His own skill and experience were handed down to his son, Goh Ah Poo, who has taken over the reins of the business. Subsequently, the outlet moved to Jalan Bukit Merah and continued to serve cyclists for more than 50 years.
